Opening Hours
Access the Reading Bees learning studio directly from Atkinson St. There is street parking available. You should see the Reading Bees A-frame sign, near the entry to our room. We are located in Community Space 6 (CS6).
Alternatively, enter the under-building car park from Wood St and drive to the far end. Please note that you cannot access our learning studio from RedGum Cafe.

Reading Bees Templestowe – Phonics & Reading Classes for Kids Aged 3–9
Our Templestowe learning studio is in Community Space 6 on Atkinson Street, where local children learn to read, spell and write with confidence. We run small, structured phonics classes for children from age 3 through to Year 3, using an evidence-based synthetic phonics approach that teaches letters, sounds and blending in a clear, step-by-step sequence.
Programs at our Templestowe learning studio
PreKinder (ages 3–4). A playful first look at letters and sounds through songs, movement and hands-on activities, while children practise the listening and turn-taking skills they will need at kinder.
Kinder (ages 4–5). School readiness classes that teach children to blend sounds into words and to read and spell simple text, so they start Prep ready to read.
Primary (Prep–Year 3). Structured literacy support for children who need help with reading, spelling or comprehension, and for those ready to move ahead. Every primary student starts with a short screening so the teaching targets the real gap.

Classes are kept small, with 5 to 12 children per group, and run once a week during school terms. Choose from morning classes Monday to Saturday, after-school sessions Tuesday to Friday, or Saturday classes until 3:15pm. There is street parking on Atkinson Street and a car park under the building, entered from Wood Street, making the studio easy to reach from Templestowe Lower, Doncaster, Doncaster East and Bulleen. Your first PreKinder or Kinder class is free, so you can watch a real lesson before you enrol.
