Instructions: How to report a student’s absence before they miss a class.
How to mark your child absent, step by step
If your child can’t make it to their Reading Bees class, please let us know in the app before the lesson. Reporting an absence early frees the spot for another child and gives you a Makeup Token so your child can catch up later.
- Log in and open your account. Open the Reading Bees app, log in and tap Account.
- Choose Future Absences. Select your child, tap Future Absences and choose the option By Date. Remember, at least 2 hours’ notice is always required.
- Enter the missed class. Tap No to “Will this absence span multiple days?”, select the date of the class, untick All Day and enter the class time. Then tap Submit.
- Check it has been approved. If you gave at least 2 hours’ notice, you will see a green “yes” and an approved status.
What happens next?
