HOW DO I BOOK A MAKEUP CLASS?

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS 
1. These steps assume you have met the “What do I do if my child can’t attend class?” conditions.
2. Open the Reading Bees app and log in!
3. Click on “Account” and then select your child’s profile. 
4. Under your child’s name, click “Makeups.” 
5. Choose “Available Makeup Tokens.” 
6. Find a Makeup class that fits your schedule. The system will only allow you to book up to 7 days in advance. 
7. When looking for a Makeup class, the Reading Bees app only shows classes with availability.  BUT, class availability can change daily, depending on when students are marked absent. 
8. We encourage our community to regularly check the Makeup class you want to book because a spot can become available. 
9. Give yourself a high 5 for helping to make our Reading Bees community amazing!

For Makeup Classes required before your regular class, please follow these instructions - “What do I do if my child can’t attend class?” and contact our office directly to receive your Makeup Token. 

I HAVE QUESTIONS! 

How much notice must I give to be eligible for a Makeup Class? 

2 HOURS' NOTICE.
- The minimum notice required to receive a Makeup Token is two hours before your class starts. We always appreciate more notice, though. :)

- I followed the instructions and still can’t see my Makeup Token in my Reading Bees app!

- Did you meet the 2-hour notice period? Has your child’s regular class ended? Your Makeup Token will only be in your Reading Bees app when these conditions are met.
- A Makeup Token is valid for 60 days. After this time, it will be under “Spent” or “Expired” Makeup Tokens.”

- Note that the system will only generate a Makeup Token on the day of your child’s class after attendance is taken to confirm their absence. 
- When looking for a Makeup class, the Reading Bees app only shows classes with availability.  BUT, class availability can change daily, depending on when students are marked absent. 
- We encourage our community to regularly check the Makeup class you want because a spot can become available.
