Favourite part of class/being an educator?
My favourite part of the class is when we wake up the mystery box. Even towards the end of the year, the children still get excited when its time to ‘wake up the box’! I love seeing the progress the children make throughout the year, from learning the sounds to starting to blend them to make words and then to hear them read – it’s priceless. I also really love hearing parents say how much their child loves coming to class and asks “is it Reading Bees day today?’
What do you love most about your job at Reading Bees?
There is so much I love about my job at Reading Bees. I love that being part of the Reading Bees team feels like being part of a family. I love the sense of community and having the opportunity to meet so many lovely families and hearing their stories (especially the ones the children tell). I love seeing older siblings that I also taught, come to drop off and pick up and tell me what they love about school. I mostly love the fun and laughter I share with the children and co-educators while setting a great foundation for the children’s learning - there’s never a dull moment!
