FORGOT YOUR DETAILS?

Vicki, Williamstown

Name: Vicki Bosnar

Length of time at Reading Bees: I have been working at Reading Bees for 6 years at Williamstown.

Favourite part of class /being an educator?

I have been a primary school teacher for many years and I have a keen interest in teaching literacy in the early years.

Teaching the Little Learners Program at Reading Bees is so much fun!

The sequential phonics program captures the interests of children through the use of engaging activities which have a specific focus, like the mystery box, Ally the alligator puppet, singing/dancing and craft.

Teaching small class sizes allows me to develop an excellent rapport with each child. It is so rewarding as a teacher to see the children develop understandings and learn what you have taught them. Watching them write their names, reciting sounds with cued articulation, reading words/readers and displaying school readiness skills fills my heart with joy.

What do you love most about your job at reading Bees?

I thoroughly enjoy teaching my students at Reading Bees and each week I look forward to introducing a new character from Milo’s Surprise Book. The children are always excited to find out who is going to be invited next to Milo’s party.

It is so rewarding knowing that when my little bees leave the Reading Bees hive, they will have gained so much confidence as learners and had a great foundation in literacy and numeracy.
