The Reading Bees Primary Program is designed to help Prep-Year 3 students rebuild their confidence, fix knowledge gaps and become confident learners. Especially if students haven't had success with reading and spelling at school. 

Our approach is different to any other in Melbourne. 

Unlike other learning programs, our Primary Learning Program is based on your child's reading and spelling ability, not their age.  

We set individual goals for each student so they can progress systematically toward mastering reading and spelling.

It is the most effective because we understand that children who struggle often need a completely different teaching method, not just more of the same. 

Our qualified educators use explicit, science-backed phonics instruction in every class.

The weekly lessons are delivered in small, supportive classes (a maximum of 5).

Children feel safe to take risks and make mistakes.

HOW IT WORKS

First, book a 20-minute student screening appointment using the Reading Bees booking app.

There are lots of times available across all 7 Reading Bees locations.

Our educators will assess your child and understand where they are on their literacy journey.

Rather than placing children in a "one-size-fits-all" group, the screening results place students in a class with peers at a similar learning level.  Research shows this leads to faster progress and restored confidence. 

This "intervention-style" learning experience also explicitly addresses each primary student's learning needs.
